Coaches
John and his wife, Renee, and daughters, Kathrine, Rachel, and Sarah, currently live in Highland.
As a high school swimmer for Bishop Noll Institute, he was a varsity swimmer and letterman all four years, qualifying for state from 1986-1988, serving as team captain all three of those years, finishing 11th in 1987 and 6th in 1988 in the 100 Breaststroke and 12th in the 200 IM in 1988. Unable to compete in college due to injuries, he turned to and has been coaching since 1990. John graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Business with a concentration in Accounting in 1992.
Before coming to the Crown Point Swim Club, John was Head Coach of the Munster Swim Club from 1997 to 2005 were he led the team to 2 Age Group State runner up finishes and 16 top 10 finishes, over half of which were top 5 finishes. He has coached over 120 National T-16 swims including 3 Age Group National #1 ranked swims. He is an ASCA certified Level 5 coach, making him one of the top 3-5% of the coaches in the country.
In his “spare time”, he enjoys spending time with his family in Michigan during the summer, wakeboarding, skiing, listening to music, reading, working out and going to swim clinics.

Bryon Angerman – Senior Coach
Bryon and his wife, Carol, and two sons, Logan and Cameron, currently live in Crown Point.
As a HS swimmer for Lake central, he was a Varsity swimmer from 1986 – 88, serving as team captain in 1988. At the IHSAA State Championship, he finished 4th in 200IM in 1987 and 6th in the 500 Free in 1988. Continuing his swimming career at the colligiate level, Bryon was a 4 year varsity letter winner at Fordham University in Bronx, NY serving as team captain in 1992. He finished is career with the school record in the 200 Back and 800 free relay. Bryon graduated with a B.S degree in Business Management with a minor in Marketing.
He has been coaching High School and Age group swimming since 1992 and is currently employed as Crown Point High School girls head coach (2003-present). Bryon also is employed full time at Allen Landscape Centre as a Landscape Designer/Manager.

Bryan Trippeer – Senior Coach
Bryan currently lives in Lowell with wife Tracy and two sons, Harrison and Carter.
Bryan graduated from Lake Central High School in 1990 where he was a four year varsity swimmer. He graduated from Purdue University in 1995 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Secondary Education and from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2005 with a Masters Degree in Secondary Education.
Bryan is currently Crown Point High School’s Girls Varsity assistant coach (2005-present). He teaches biology and chemistry at Crown Point High School. He is a certified SCUBA diver and teaches a marine biology class during the summer in which he takes students to the Florida Keys on a diving trip. In his spare time, he enjoys scuba diving, fishing, grilling, and just spending time outdoors.

Becca DeLuca – Assistant Age Group Coach
Becca and her husband, Tim, currently live in Crown Point.
Becca was a four year HS swimmer (team captain in 2001) for Lake Central HS and graduated in 2001 with honors. During high school she was one of Lake Central’s Learn-To-Swim teachers and upon graduating became one of the Lake Central Barracudas assistant coaches (2001-2003). From 2004-2006 she coached for the, Munster Swim Club and Munster High School girls team, while continuing her education and earning a degree in Radiation Therapy from Indiana University. She is currently an ASCA Level 3 certified coach. She is also currently employed as a radiation therapist in Lafayette, Indiana. She has been an integral part of the Crown Point Swim Club coaching staff since 2006 and feels it to be one of the most rewarding things she’s ever experienced. She is very happy to call Crown Point…..home! Go Bulldogs!!

Susan Boyer – Assistant Age Group Coach, Learn to Swim Director
Sue and her husband, Dale, currently live in Crown Point. They have two sons, Jeremy and Brandon
Sue began her swimming career as an age group swimmer for the Merrillville Aquatic Club. She swam for one year at Bishop Noll but ended up graduating from Andrean High School. Sue also swam for one year for Bloomsburg State University where she received a masters in education, special education. She also holds a certificate in Corporate Wellness and Recreation Therapy from IUPUI. She is an ASCA Level 2 certified coach
Sue is currently an American Red Cross Instructor trainer of safety and aquatics and is the Recreation/Aquatics Director for Arc BRIDGES Inc. Her career plans are to continue to make a difference in the lives of people with mental retardation and then retire to a sunny place!
Passions: Special Olympic sports, volunteer work and a golf addict

Holly Laird- Assistant Age Group Coach
Holly currently live in Crown Point with her daughter, Haleigh.
Holly was a two-year high school swimmer for Lake Central High School. She graduated in 2004 with Academic Honors and being member of the National Honor Society.
She taught Learn-To-Swim while at Lake Central and enjoys working with the kids and watching them progress.
