NWISC Championships & Divisional Time Trials Volunteers Needed

Attention Club Members,

At the upcoming events, we will need volunteers from our club to participate.  You can use these last two events to acquire more volunteer credits toward you club participation requirement.

NW Indiana Conference Championship Meet (February 19-21)

Deck timers: one(1) person is needed at every session of this meet (must be 18-yrs or older).

This meet is comprised of four(4) sessions:

  • Friday (night) for 11-12yrs old swimmers.
  • Saturday (am) for 8yrs old & under swimmers.
  • Saturday (pm) for 9 -10yrs old swimmers.
  • Sunday (am/pm-combined) 13-14yrs old / 15yrs & Over swimmers

Friday and Saturday’s sessions will run @ 4-hours each.

Sunday’s session will start in the morning (followed by a short break); and ending in the afternoon.

If you work a complete session you will receive one credit toward your volunteer time for the club.

Sunday’s sessions can be split between two families (for one credit each); or if worked complete by one family, two credits will be earned.

 

CPSC Divisional Time Trial (March 1)

Deck Timers(8); Head Timer(1); Concessions(2); Clock(1); Computer(1)

  • Time trial will start at 5:30pm and run for @ 3-1/2 hours / concessions work will start at 5:00pm.

 If you work the complete session you will receive one credit toward your volunteer time for the club.

 We will post sign-up sheets for these events on the bulletin board at the pool on February 1stPlease sign up at your convenience; the sheets will be taken down 2-days prior to the event.

CPSC Donates to Local Hospital’s Pediatric Ward

 St. Anthony's Pediatric Donation

On Monday, December 28th, the Crown Point Swim Club delivered donated DVD’s, VHS tapes and Wii Games to the St. Anthony Pediatric Floor.  Pictured are (back row) Elena Dejesus, Unit Manager, Abbey Wellman, Coach Krick, Eloise Lyons (Unit Clerk), Amy Worley (Charge Nurse) and Ben Wellman, (front row) Connor Clark, Rachel Krick, Katie Krick and Sarah Krick. Parents – Please read through the following article from USA Swimming and discuss it with your swimmers.  This is a health concern and something that should be discussed on more than one occasion with them.  The coaching staff will be sitting down with the swimmers today or tomorrow to discuss this.

Spirit Wear Catalog & Order Form

Hello CPSC Members:

I am very excited to introduce this years CPSC SpiritWear.  We have a wide variety of items to choose from and items priced in a variety of price ranges.  Samples of the items will be available to view the week of Oct 19th.  I will send an email stating which day I will be at the pool with these items.  I would be happy to answer any questions you have regarding the items or how to fill out the forms.   The kids love wearing the items displaying  the team logo.  The swimmers love to see their fans in the stands proudly displaying their CPSC gear.  There is 5 full color catalog pages for parents to view the items available for sale and a order form that is 3 pages long.  So, there is 6 attachments in total.  These pages will be available to view via this email, on the clubs website crownpointswimclub.org and at the pool.  I will attach sheets to the bulletin board in the pool hallway and they can be viewed in the white binders located in the rolling cart.    I would like to receive all orders by Nov 10th.  Orders can be placed in the black mailbox attached to the rolling cart.  Please include a check payable to CPSC with your order.

Parents Meetings:
Wednesday September 23 5:45PM, 7PM LGI Room (2 meetings)

Wednesday November 11 5:45PM, 7PM LGI Room (2 meetings)
Wednesday December 16 5:45PM, 7PM LGI Room (2 meetings)

Board Meetings:
Tuesday before each parents meeting at 7PM in the pool office.
Parents are welcome to attend the board meetings if there is an issue they wish to discuss with the board. However, anyone wishing to attend MUST contact one of the board members prior to the meeting to inform the board about what they would like to discuss. No walk up’s will be allowed access.
